A lot has happened in the last few days. Too much for his liking already. And then there were those curious looks from his neighbors and the townspeople....

"As if they were trying to look into OUR heads," his tailmaw mentally corrected him, chuckling in amusement.

The badger rolled his eyes. Of course, even at that moment his tail couldn't be quiet and had to give another comment about this situation. 

Gromsr sighed and looked down at the village. 

It would be alright again. 

It always turned out alright again. 

He looked to his right and saw his tailmaw next to him. It almost made the impression as if it was looking down on the city as well. But the tailmaw could not see anything by itself. 

The badger was sure that there was something that he could feel ... Just like looking at a painting hung far away on the end of a very dark room. One had the feeling that something was there, and the longer you looked, the more it became apparent. And then it vanished into darkness again.

In that case, however, Gromsr was convinced, absolutely and without any question, that he felt the tailmaw looking at the city. No, looked down on the city and its people

It was watching. 

Waiting. 

Like the predator that it has always been.
