PTSJ19 Day 15B: Korea Town and the Shopping Spree

Parcly Taxel

Spindle: After seeing some smaller mounds embedded in a public park, we had just enough time before the next arrival to buy return tickets to Tsuruhashi (鶴橋). There we found… Korea Town, where most of the goods on sale reflected the legacy of the "Korean Wave" that swept the world about two years ago, with handsome males and cutesy females in idol groups. (As mentioned before, recent developments have cooled the Japan–Korea relationship somewhat.)

Parcly Taxel: The JR station at Tsuruhashi hid its corresponding Osaka Metro station behind a corner and two flights of stairs. A vivid gradient from green to blue to purple flew over my head as we travelled to Nagahoribashi (長堀橋) for a tonkatsu dinner (without a cooking stove).

Rarity: That Don Quijote theme song must be very catchy. One of its stores was located close to that tonkatsu joint and to Dotonbori, and Parcly bought lots of cup noodles and Pocky sticks and a bottle of sake. Then she got six doughnuts for ¥500 during a very special offer from Mister Donut! And thus her day ended in merry bliss on the eve of Hearth's Warming Eve.

Parcly: Quit whining, fashion horse.
