What is your mental image when you're hearing the name "Rio Grande"? Not that of a creek, for sure. But then again, everyone has seen photos of that dry concrete sewage ditch further West in El Paso and should know better.

Having said this, Big Bend Ranch State Park, TX is a lovely place, and the night we set up camp on the banks of the river is unforgettable.
