So, funny story; Barnaby was on his way home from the university, having finished grading some essays, when he passed by a large green pipe sticking out of the ground. He'd never noticed this pipe before, and more concerning, he thought he heard someone crying for help down the pipe!

Barnaby peered into the green tube, only to suddenly get sucked into it's darkness. He was rushed along for what seemed like hours, when he finally reached the end and was spat out onto an odd, grassy field. Trying to take in his surroundings, the sheepdog didn't notice a brown leaf fall onto his head. There was a sudden poof of smoke that engulfed him, and when it cleared our professor had somehow turned into a tanuki. Thankfully Barnaby still had his glasses and tobacco pipe, which he calmly puffed as he swished his new ringed tail.

He pondered the strangeness of this world when a golden block with a question mark etched on it caught his eye, and, for whatever reason, he had a sudden urge to whack the thing with his tail...

Awesome Mario Universe piece done by clipey, who was a great sport in doing a full tanuki version of Barnaby, since there's not actually full tanukis in the franchise. He did an excellent job with turning a sheepdog into a tanuki! I really enjoy this piece! :D
