I was fortunate enough to do a walkabout at the Hay Literary Festival with a bunch of other animals to publicize a theatre project 'Humans on Trial' that I am making costumes for. We had a dog, a snake, an owl and of course my wolf here. As it was pretty short notice and I had to make a whole other mask for it too, her hood and ears are not attached currently (as I've had a bunch of other projects on the top she's been on the backburner til now) so was making use of a furry hat and hood to cover it up.

Despite that it went incredibly well, people were giving the wolf in particular a lot of attention and some of the interactions with kids was hilarious. In costume I was like a mixture of the coolest thing ever and the most frightening thing in the world to them. They wanted to rush over, but were scared I might eat them. Eventually most of them summoned up the courage to walk over, and discovered that Miss Wolf was actually a very personable and friendly canid who hardly eats anybody.

This was my first bit of performance in one of my own creations, and I loved it. Hopefully will get the chance to do more in the future.
