Been plotting the background to this guy lately. In the Skyrim AU, he's a mere painter who takes on a white wolf prostitute named Olivia as his latest muse in terms of his paintings before becoming infatuated with her to the point he buys her freedom and takes her as his own wife. During which, Olivia ends up pregnant with Sylv-Ia. Just one look at Sylv-Ia and Bernard doesn't need to wonder if she is his (even so, he would have loved her anyways).

When Olivia dies with Sylv-Ia only 10 years old and Ryssa's father being executed when Ryssa is young, Bernard attempts to be there for Ryssa and her mother, Shar-On (the woman he loved from the beginning but never spoke up about it as he merely sketched Shar-On and wrote love poems about her from afar before Olivia came into his life). Never telling her how he felt, he lost the chance when Shar-On is brutally raped and murdered by a knight in Whiterun.

Taking Ryssa as his own daughter, he does his best to be there for her and Sylv-Ia--supporting the two in everything that they do even after his health fails him.

Extremely docile and hard to anger, Bernard is good about keeping his feelings a secret regarding anybody as he uses his writings and artwork to do that for him. While he paints, he uses each scene he draws to tell a story to those who are willing to listen.

Decided to go for that shiny hair look--never bothered with it before, but then I found the magic button that helps make that happen. Let's see how much I can abuse the crap outta that.. ;P
