*Mating Season:

-Full month of August

*Mating rituals:

When mating season comes around both male and females will migrate to very high elevated places to perform their mate selecting rituals. Males will perch themselves on high cliff sides or high areas to perform for the females in the area. Males will sing/make different sounds, raise their wings high in the air, flap their wings, and wag their tails to attract a mate. When a female finds a male to be worth her attention she will fly to him, make eye contact, and mimic the sound pattern that the male sings to her. If she fancies him she will dive down towards the ground and the male will follow closely behind or under her while continuing to sing to her. Both pairs will continue to do their mimicing flight performance until the female is satisfied enough with the males actions or until the male decides to move on to a different female. Females do these flight performances in order to test the males, strength, speed, and determination.

Once paired a male will have to continue to stick close to his female for about six days while they repeatedly mate and keep an eye out for any potential thieving males looking for a female to steal.

*Anatomy:

-Body: females have lighter built bodies that help them have better speed, agility, balance on unstable surfaces, and easier movement while pergenant. Males have heavier built bodies that help them with hunting, fighting, strength, and gives them better flight control when flying against strong wind currents. Males also have hidden genitalia, similar to that of a dolphin; so it is difficult to tell males from females unless you go by the obvious body part differences like the tails, claws, etc.

-Ears: large ears that help them hear things are either close or miles away.

-Noses: Nose shapes can vary between genders. Females can have a three point crown nose or a single point crown nose. Males can have a four curl point crown nose or a double point crown nose.

-Size: about the same size as a mini pony. Both genders are about the same size.

-Tail: females have shorter stubby tails, while males have long pointed tails that are used for display, balance, and protection.

-Incisors: various amounts of teeth stick out of their mouth due to natural over growth.

-Eyes: great night vision, slightly blurry day vision due to too much light getting into their eyes.

-Paws: males have longer sets of claws than females and have two large spike like claws that grow out of their hind legs.

-Fur colors: usually are dark colored but they can rarely have light colored fur.

-Fur type: long and short smooth fur

*Family life:

Females want dependable males to help out when necessary so when it comes to picking mates, raising offspring, and choosing nesting sights the females are in charge. Males mostly help out during mating, raising offspring, hunting, and scaring off unwanted company. A mating pair will mate for life if their first offspring makes it to nine months of age.

*Population:

-Stable; decently large size.
