So finally I have more progress on
WIP of a Bee thing remake™ by OleanderTheHorse -- Fur Affinity [dot] net

A typical small medical incident occurred in one of the countless towns under the protection of the world-famous Lorraine Pharmaceutical Corporation. In order to preserve precious samples and substances, more importantly, in order to save lives, it is imperative that they learn valuable lessons from this accident; their heroic employee was involved.

Despite having no medical training or experience as an entry, Mr. Butler had developed a will of steel from the enormous debt he owed to the casino. In addition, he also had a high concentration of alcohol in his cerebrovascular fluid, which provided him with the courage to confront death.

The highly effective crisis management strategy, coupled with the determination to save lives, led Lorraine Corporation to provide humanitarian assistance within five minutes of the accident. By using the advanced, highly customized bio-hazard suits, Mr. Butler was able to destroy the source of the mutagenic chemical leak and became a scientifically valued specimen himself. As a result of Mr. Butler's outstanding contributions, the feasibility of community-focused services has been proven to be more than satisfactory.

Lorraine Company cares about both individuals and the community as a whole. During the accident, they found an unidentified victim who fell whilst the cameras were attached to her hand, as well as the entire footage of the accident.

Lorraine Company is determined to demonstrate that her investigations violated the responsibility of invading private property unlawfully, educated her the risk of entering a highly hazardous area without proper training and equipment, and as a consequence, endangered her own life. The fact that Lorraine Company is willing to pay for her medical insurance, to provide world-class, experimental Cybernetic-Bio-organic hybrid treatments, to prevent the same damage from happening to her in the future is extraordinarily encouraging. Ms. Amelia signed life-long contracts voluntarily within the growing vat using the subconscious scanner in order to become a better person who can better serve the public.

I'm thinking of ways to make her "human trait" more obvious, but it seems like bug-like characters remove most of that "human feeling". I tried showing some human muscle, but somehow it made it look even more insect-like.

It's mostly about the visual; I came up with a few ways to imply that in the story, like the "feminine and gentle" facial expression, combined with an embarrassed pose (making her hide her body). If I take her out of the story, it's hard to tell if this is an alien, a lab monster, or a human transformed.

This character comes from the typical innocent being captured by a secret lab, but the mutation is by design, so I didn't want gruesome deformities and mismatched anatomy, but as I mentioned, a balanced anatomy on a buggy character reduces post-TF elements a lot.

Currently, I'm attempting to cut her lower body and make clear specing elements around her butt area (such as heavy modifications around the coccyx area to connect with her tail). And design a set of gear that doesn't fit her anatomy, but is still human-like.

I imagine that a bio-lab can't design weapons or equipment for one mutant, and if they're developing weapons, they have to think about mass-production. So they can only make tiny changes to gears like hostlers and bulletproof vests, and everything else looks human. Though, in this story, I guess Amelia will be used to handle and clean highly radioactive and chemically polluted substances and environments.
