Chapter Four: Immunity by o-kemono

Chapter Four: Immunity

o-kemono

Chapter Three: Immunity finished a few week on a sharp cliff hanger.

In the third chapter, Lucid was left with Rashidi on behalf of Lukman's request. The wise old rat-snake hybrid gave Lucid a small introduction on the Mau's and the demons called "Kabuus", also known as Nightmares. Upon trying to figure out Lucid's past, he decided to do some research and found a few interesting clues. Meanwhile, the Mau's found out that the demon that killed Juna is more powerful than the average demon and poses a strong threat. With the sacrifice of a Sun Scout mouse, the Mau's found out that the new threat is also immune to sunlight. After Rashidi came to the quick conclusion that Lucid is NOT the cat told in Lukman's prophecy, he was ordered to take Lucid outside and kill the kitten. He was accompanied by two other Mau guards, a sun scout who saw the demon during the day, Nizam who is staying by Lucid's side, Thabit, and Zahur, a high born female Siamese warrior who is leading the group. Things turn south as soon as the Mau's find the remains of the fallen Mau Kajif. The two guards decided to kill Lukman our of anger and revenge, blaming him for the loss of their fellow warriors. That's when the demon made his appearance, calling Lucid "brother".

The new installment: Chapter Four: Reunion, the small handful of Mau's take on the larger and more threatening demon, who is infused with Lucid's brother. This chapter tells an epic battle between Mau and demon. More secrets will be reveled about the truth behind Lucid and his past. Who will survive and who will die.
