[massive vent incoming] [tw: sexual harassment] it’s so, so, so incredibly hard to understand the unspeakable actions of those you thought you knew and trusted . it’s hard to be confrontational because everyone tells you that the things you feel are not valid, or that you’re only overreacting . the actions were probably seen as meaningless advances, and the abusers probably have no clue that these touches were gonna last in my mind forever . they were unwanted . i didn’t want to wake up in the middle of the night with a hand down my pants and past my panties . i didn’t want to be backed into the wall feeling helpless as he “playfully” mumbled demeaning things about me . even in the classroom, i still remember when two boys tried their hardest to touch my nipples through my shirt, not caring for how I felt if those feelings were wanted or not . i had a big crush on one of the dudes, and quickly lost it the following hour . being trapped between the window in a bus seat, was by far the one thing i was not expecting to have experienced my first year at this school . a boy that i has barley known for more than a week had his arm wrapped around me, not letting me move and only making me press closer to him . his other hand making its way up from my knee to my inner thighs . this same dude, never ever ever given any punishment for the reports that the office received on sexual harassment . i did not want any of this, and thinking about these unwanted maneuvers is like awakening a terrible beast that will not leave your bed, you’re forced to live with it and fear it . you’re stuck with those memories . it’s horrible .
