Ember meets “the Witch,” an elderly outcast living in solitude up on the mountain.
She’s said to know things no rabbit could possibly know. She’s so ancient, she knew the herd’s first matriarch personally. Quite possibly a long lost great+ grandmother of Ember. She was captured in her youth and had already outlived most feral rabbits by the time she returned, only to be exiled for a number of reasons. She’s the last rabbit alive who knows how the herd came to be, because no rabbit is willing to believe her ravings.

The Witch is a chestnut based on a New Zealand I once had named Little Lady. She’s got a little bit of Flemish Giant going on in her, though.
