Sanaa the Weaponizer (Old Art) by numberxxxvi

Sanaa the Weaponizer (Old Art)

numberxxxvi

I felt like doing a manga-influenced comic page demonstrating my gorilla gal Sanaa's particular brand of magic: Sanaa is a "Weaponizer", able to take nearly anything she lays her hands on and use it in combat, a skill that is amplified by the magical ability to turn allies into weapons and armor. Here, she's turned her rhinoceros boyfriend Padma into a suit of armor and dandpatta.

There's a bit of multilingual wordplay involved here: Sanaa is the character's name, but it can also mean "art" or "skill" in Swahili ("visalaha" is "weapons" or "armaments"), so "Visalaha Sanaa" could also mean "Sanaa Weapons". The "patta" in "Patta Kamala" happens to also be identical to one of the English spellings for a single one of those weapons, though as written it means "Lotus Leaf" (and the accent is different).

This all assumes that the dictionaries and translation sites i'm visiting are correct, mind you.
