Maj'ran - Mah(as in mop) jjran(as in ron)

Maj being related to magic and ran, sorta being related to dragon.

Every Maj'ran is born(or hatched, haven't decided) with a jewel embedded in their forehead. Its color determines their eye, flesh, and marking colors. It's very rare for one to be born with more than one jewel,(such as the female shown here). Those born with more than one are highly respected, along with their family, and are thought of as blessed by nature/mana. It is extremely rare for a Maj'ran to be born without a jewel. Their sclera(eye whites) are a dark grey to a black, their irises are white. They are considered a bad omen, thus they and the family that bore them are usually exhiled.

Maj'ran Jewels glow brightly when a Maj'ran is focused intently, either through magic or emotions. It is thought that a Maj'ran jewel is the source of their magical power, thus one born with several is thought to be much more in tune with mana/nature and a force to be reckoned with. The exhiled are thought to be unable to ever be in tune with mana/nature, and are believed to bring those around them to ruin. It is unknown if either of these beliefs are true, though Maj'ran with several jewels do tend to excel in many ways.

Maj'ran wings are impractical, they do not give them flight, but do give them the ability to float and flutter. Some are born without wings, and fewer are born with wings large enough to give them flight. Though the size of wings aren't determined until their coming of age. Flying Maj'ran are envied, but not as respected as the Jeweled Maj'ran.

Maj'ran who are in tune with nature/mana bear symbols or markings through their fur. The beginning signs are shown on their cheeks, then their forearms, and lastly their legs. Their markings are not usually different but it is not uncommon for a Maj'ran to have different markings than the ones on their face, or have differing markings rather than mirrored markings. Legend tells that an enlightened Maj'ran has markings on their upper arms, lower legs, chest, and stomach. One has never been seen in their history, many believe an Enlightened Maj'ran to be a myth. Maj'ran without markings tend to rely on brute strength and usually don't care for being in tune with nature/mana.

Female Maj'ran have much softer fur than males. The female's ear tufts are much longer and flow as hair would. The female's tails are thicker at the end but mostly because their fur is the softest and most luxurious there. The female's tail is their key for attracting males. The males just love an extremely soft tail. The male's tail is stronger and has thinner fur, but could still be as soft as a female's.

A Maj'ran's neck fur can vary from being extremely fluffy to near non-existent. Some Maj'ran have long neck fur that trails off and flows like a feather boa. Maj'ran head fur can also very from short to long, though most rather not hide their jewel behind a tuft of head fur. Many Maj'ran like to accessorize with jewelery that matches their own jewel in color. Maj'ran clothing consist of robes or wraps, usually very loose fitted and flowing, somewhat tribal in appearance. Maj'ran height varies from 5'-6'

This is all I thought about so far. Uhhh don't think too much into it, cuuuz this is just a pretty random thing for me >w> lol. Yay random info.
