I do not believe people were yelling at you for making free icons.
They were asking you not to sell them. I saw your original post. You offered them for 2$ which means you were trying to sell them.
So, please do not be rude to people who were just asking you not to sell something that doesn't belong to you.
And that "tell that to the other 16 people" won't work here. Just because someone else does it does not mean you should. What are you, 12? :\
