Who has two thumbs and hasn't drawn enough deep-cleavage money shots to satisfy the character herself? This guy.

Shelly's kind of a blast to draw these days. I originally envisioned her as a purely antagonistic character for Carrie to grapple with, but the character trait of 'image-obsessed bimbo' never sat right with me. Then it came to me: Autism. Someone who has all the brains and all the looks, but can't figure out people- to enough of a degree that she'd watch ancient movies about valley girls and adapt these traits herself, not realizing that those social circles were supposed to come off as vapid, shallow and often vicious. This made her way more relatable and much harder to write for. It also had the side effect, when combined with Erwin's backstory, to make Carrie kind of give off the vibe of someone who wants to fix broken people, despite her tough front.

Also yeah I'm pretty sure Lastik is filling Shelly's subconscious desire to expand her big, sweaty baps.
