South Ridge Lake Entrance by Noben

South Ridge Lake Entrance

Noben

Characters in the picture: Sasha, Skie (not Boo) ^^, and CC.

South Ridge was once a small village, but now it's only known for an abandoned series of campgrounds around a lake off the side of a dirt road that winds thru to the southern rim of the Star Rock Falls Valley. Less of a dirt road really. More like two bumpy, root riddled trails divided by a row of knee high wild grass enveloped by a dense mixture temperate and subtropical forest. It's about 7 kilometers out from Star Rock Falls city limits and the only civilization nearby to speak of are scattered, hidden homes that have been there since the place was settled.

Maybe abandoned is too strong of a word. Neglected is more the fitting term. It's still used by those that know of it, and in the off season locals use it almost exclusively since out-of-towners tend to stay away during the relatively colder months.

The same could be said of North Ridge on the opposite side of the valley. Except North Ridge has two things South Ridge doesn't. Liquor and a century old gas station clinging to modern, rural life.

Very.. very.. very long awaited commission for skiefire.
