The first Lemur! The race doesn't have a god (and therefore no name) yet, but we'll get there. And yeah, we're using "anthroplogy" in a very loose way here, we know.

Sam is one of Kitik's future crew, after she gets her ship and starts sailing for real. Sam is intrigued by a group of squirrels already in the crew. The squirrels are a reclusive and xenophobic race, and as such they're rarely seen. The lemurs have a unique access to the squirrels, and share a small bit of overlap culturally, but seeing them outside their homeland is basically unheard of. Sam found the opportunity irresistible, and uses the cultural overlap to bridge the language barrier for the rest of the crew, albeit crudely.
