Commissioned ornament for my Mom in law... she gave me pretty free reign of the design, she only wanted to have the baby's name and year on it and this is what I came up with! The family she's giving this to has a small flock of chickens and a newborn baby, so I figured it was more than appropriate to do a chick hatching out of an egg. Not to mention, I have a ton of eggs from my own birds that I've blown out... Although this is a turkey's egg and I sculpted a chicken... shhh.
