Meet Oppo, the grizzly bear. He's kind of shy and prefers to be by himself. He spends a majority of his time looking for berries (he loves nagoonberries) and other edible plants... surprisingly, he hates the taste of salmon! He enjoys a simple, calm, slow-paced lifestyle.

Oppo stands 10" tall when on two legs, and about 8" on four legs. He can't stand well on two legs but his tail can be used as a prop. His head, ears and claws were sculpted with a combination of Super Sculpey and Sculpey III, painted with Liquitex acrylic paints, and then coated with matte and gloss varnish. His front wrists are slightly poseable--when he is on all four legs, the front claws bend forward. He has a copper and steel wire armature inside and can be bent in a variety of realistic positions. His body is stuffed with a dense foam and fleece, and his fur was hand-sewn on and hot glued in places. The necklace is made of wood and glass on an elastic cord, and can be removed if desired.

(I think I sort of outdid myself on his body, I really like how it came out. This was my first real attempt at something cute... I learned a lot... I'll be starting another cute Alaskan critter or two later today!)
