Another finished picture for this years Eurofurence artshow. After redesigned the
Bloodhound race I really really wanted to draw my character Phi in that new design, which I love so much!!
I'm really happy with how he turned out. I planned this picture a little different but didn't ruin it completely I hope ^^, When BHO told me about the concept that jungle hounds could wrap their tails around branches I wanted to do a picture of Phi like this right away :D

Thank you :) I am still working on the right balance between to much and not enough details, but for this one it was actually done on purpose. I only wanted to draw the character detailed and have a little background color so he wouldn't hang around in thin air.

If I remember it correctly then Phi was the very first Bloodhound ever belonging to a friend of mine, closely followed by Tascun's Cyan. It makes me incredibly happy that this friend was and is you and that he outlasted all those years to now resurface in the new shape of the hounds. <3

Overall it works I guess, the creature is fine but the background doesn't look realistic enough. It is to uniform and the leaves are all the same. If you had done closer leaves more detailed and then the background leaves as you have them it would read better. You would get more depth and more realism that way.
