I am so proud of this. ♥

Even though it's a direct trace (reference points being the eyes and mouth shapes) over the ever popular (GIF from Mulan)....I really didn't think I could do it! Went in completely blind (metaphorically speaking) with microscopic animation experience.

I'm aware the spots have a weird sort of wallpaper effect, but I genuinely have no clue how to take care of that. I copy-pasted them, cause the idea of recolouring 27 times trying to match and move them....nope! When I split the original gif, (seen here), it came out with 38 frames. I moved out the still frames, and ended up drawing/colouring 27 and then duplicating the stills back in afterwards. The grand total: lines, colouring and the original screencap for each frame comes to 83 layers. But only 38 final frames, like started. Took maybe 3hrs total; drawn and coloured in SAI, animated in CS2.

Character wise, this is moderately non-canon? Zest (who will have a reference soon), would never be genuinely angry. He's just my most difficult and animated (yep, bad pun) character. It would have been perfect for (Fenix) but the thought of drawing that beak so many times makes me shudder. Otherwise (Cobalt) would have been absurdly too easy, albeit also proper.
