The Deep Sea Dwellers in our setting are a subcategory of Spirit Folk and thus capable of shapeshifting like the rest. They're still a bit unique in that they generally spend the majority of their time in a form best described to be between human and animal, unlike other Spirit Folk, who rarely enter this stage of inbetween past adolescence.
