Basic Info:
Vrillin are a cat like predatory species. These creatures tend to be solitary and specialize in one type of prey. If the prey is magical in nature, Vrillin will absorb the magical energies, thus some Vrillin can use magic themselves. Vrillin tend to drain their victims of blood before feasting of the rest of the carcass. This has labeled them as vamperic, but in actuality, vrillin who drink the blood of their prey first are going after the inherent power of their meal, that resides primarily in their blood.

Vrillin are large, tiger sized or larger, with a large broad chest and strong powerful limbs. They are endurance hunters and if they can not ambush prey they will simply run it to exhaustion. There are many variants in this species primarily in the color, coat length and tails. Only the vrillins' back claws are retractable, while the front claws always remain extended.

All Vrillin are born with long tails. It is not uncommon however to find a vrillin with a bobbed tail. Such short cut tails are rarely the result of combat damage, but as a right of passage. The vrillin will bite off a length of its own tail when coming of age. This practice is still followed by many vrillin clans to this day, but some clans frown on the ancient practice.

Though solitary, Vrillin will gather in small bands or clans for ceremonies or special occasions. They are intelligent and quite capable of human speech, though vrillin posses their own unique language. If not gathered with their clans, Vrillin prefer a life of hunting and revile in a more animistic existence.
