I started this sucker back in March. I've been watching artists who do these amazing digital paintings and I felt it was time that I do the same. I don't know exactly how many hours went into this piece because I didn't keep track or add them all up but I know it was a lot. The reason it took so long was because we moved and I had to get commissions done due to deadlines. After awhile I just kinda 'forgot' about it (Sorry Weylin) until today. It was so close and since I want to take on more painterly commissions I sat down and finished it.

As you can tell it is a Skyrim themed piece, one of which I have also wanted to do for awhile. The game inspires me a lot these days with it's amazing graphics and beautiful game art. The conflict between the Imperials and Stormcloaks is the second main focus in the game, aside from Alduin the soul eater. Wey and I had been talking about this for quite some time but I always turned him down because I was never 'ready' to attempt something of such proportions. (The original file is 3500 pixels by 2000 pixels with 300 dpi bringing it to 5.59 Mb on disk.) It was a massive undertaking that I am really proud of. I hope in the future I can get some more painted commissions.
