Fun story behind this character for the story/comic I'm drafting up.

My family recently moved to Arizona, and since they could now have another pet in the house, they took me to the Humane Society and the SPCA to help them choose. Initially, we were looking for a dog, but then I met Sabriye.

She apparently had to have both of her eyes surgically removed due to infection, but when the volunteers let me interact with her, she was rambunctious and eager to explore. I promised then and there that if she is still at the SPCA (which is a no-kill shelter) when I graduate from college, she is going to be my cat.

I couldn't wait until I got her to grant her an honorary place in my story, though! Thus, this incarnation of Sabriye was born. She serves as a sort of "oracle of the underground;" if you need an informant, there isn't one that has half of the information that Sabriye knows. She usually is a hermit on the outskirts of town and rarely leaves, but throughout the story she'll find she still has some friends in a world where there are more than a few who want her silenced. Because of this, she is also guarded by another character, Angel.
