My Star Trek OC (although he didn't start out that way), Commander Stryker. He's a Kanzarian (basically an anthropomorphic mink). He goes by Stryker because that's the closest approximation to his name that most humanoids are able to pronounce. In his own language, the "s" at the beginning would be more like a hiss, and the "r" at the end would sound like a cross between a growl and a cat's purr.
