In the universe I've created for my characters, furries evolved along side humans, although humans were a little bit more successful being 60% of the world population.

During the early days of modern humans an alliance between the canine wolf anthros was struck. At some point, the two tribes came to understand the benefits of joining forces. The combined ingenuity of humans with the keen instincts and physical prowess of the wolves proved to be an unimaginably successful merger. So much so that there was a significant cross culture co-habitation. Mating and in rare cases, conception, between the two races became the status quo. Families normally included two families from each race living together, or in some cases families that have adopted an orphaned or abandoned child or cub.

Out of all the other races, humans and canines have had the most positive experiences living together even to this very day.
