Idris prefers his personal space to the exclusion of even socially acceptable touch from others. The only one he ever lets - demands - touch him is Ila. She's all too happy to give him that. ♥

Originally Ila was supposed to be braiding his hair, but I was too tired to figure out how that might look when I first sketched this, so she just gets to hug him instead. Maybe I'll draw her braiding his hair at some point soon-ish. I had so much fun with his tattoo; I think this is the first time I've rendered it with this much clarity before. Should probably be more faded and a little blurry, but, shrug. Also, his crooked, stained teeth and the missing teeth and the front gap make me happy. That's my husband's smile. v__v

This was also an experiment in me trying to get away from using their head sculpts for everything I do with them. I used Idris's face sculpt to get some of his features figured out, but the rest is just references and eyeballing, haha. Want to move away from using models for every little thing.
