So, the story behind this...
My roomate decided we HAD to go to goodwill in hopes of adding to his 'nerf collection/nerf wall' Well by chance we found this, the handle was bent, a few pieces chipped off and it was the red and green magstrike which just burns my eyes to look at. So $2 later we go home with this. After about an hour of him messing with it I decided to help out and repair the damages to the body... which then turned into rage for staring at the scraped up outer damage ( scuffs on things is an odd little pet peeve) so I offered to paint it. He squeed like a little girl and here we are. Yes I know the silver and black paint jobs seem to be common on this model but I gotta admit its fantastic.
This was spray painted, airbrushed, and painted. The 'speckle' look in one of the pictures is the acrylic sealant I used. Modge Podge wasn't my best option, I'll be re sealingit with a glaze/clearcoat to try to repair that look, All the paint is sharp, but with sunlight it gives a grainy look/feel which is driving me nuts.
Anyway Hope you all enjoy. I'm pleased with the outcome and the fact its now functional in many ways.
