Based on Sarvak's New Year challenge, where I get to become the fully evolved form of my first starter Pokemon.  My first game was Crystal, which is still probably my favorite video game ever.  I was only 5 but I actually vividly remember plopping in the game for the first time, randomly selecting the pokemon in the middle (Totodile) and not even looking at the other options because A) I didn't know I could after selecting one and B) I fell in love with it immediately.  I probably ended up resetting God knows how many times before actually making it past Mr. Pokemon because of my piss-poor reading comprehension and attention span (even for a 5 year old) but that first moment is still very clear in my memory.  For some reason.
