Background:
Thermal joined up with the Battle Birds in her mid teens. Before that, she was a punk kid looking to have as much fun as possible and mess up anyone that she could. She'd always been a good shot with a slingshot, and once she'd gotten into Gear Riding, she began to use her skills to try and win races and take the spoils for herself.

Joining the Battle Birds meant more spoils and more freedom. There aren't many that would willfully take on the Battle Birds. She couldn't imagine anyone leaving willingly.
