She started life as a farmer's daughter who decided to start working the land in her teens, like her ancestors did. Raised in a conservative environment, she hid her relationship with another woman from everyone for a few years until she was discovered and exiled from her community and left to fend for herself in the wilds.

She did not fare well, and as she lay in the desert ground, dying of dehydration and starvation, Kali appeared before her, and granted her the strength and knowledge to brave the wilds and she emerged as a Magus, almost unrecognizable to anyone who once knew her. This blessing comes with a price, she is now duty-bound to use her abilities to slay and put to rest anyone who cheats death for their own selfish gain. She is also not allowed to be close to anyone, as her aura of death will cause anyone she cares about and loves to die in a very gruesome manner.

She arrived in the Black Marsh sometime later, lamenting about her latest bereavement, and is joined up with a ragtag party of misfits sent to investigate a manor where odd and terrifying things are happening. In their investigations, they uncovered a pirate operation which traced back to an uneasy and collapsing alliance with displaced lizard people and various aquatic races. As it turned out, the Lizard folk had been attacked and displaced by a cult of Dagon worshipped by the Sahagin and their pet sharks, with their home base turned into an underwater dungeon, and they plan on taking over the surrounding lands by force. After weeks of planning, and the aid of their new friend, a bard haunting a sword, the party and the lizard folk came up with a plan to bomb the underwater stronghold with all of the Sahagin in it, in order to deal a decisive blow against the aquatic marauders. The operation was a success, and the party is then hailed as the heroes of Black Marsh. Emboldened by their adventures, the party, give or take a couple members, set sail out to sea looking for adventures and treasure.
