With xeir siblings working together, they created the world of Svandir . Using xeir own life force, xey created the Dýrvættr, the first people who are capable of sapience, and then disappeared soon after. In stories written about xem, xey had been given the epithet of Dýrpater, meaning "Father of the Dýr." More recently, xey had been given the nicknames Eddy, Eddie, Miguel, Heidi and Flare.
