The Trapper - Spiders made out of a metallic geode inset with various small gems, supported by legs made out of thin crystal shards, and a large gem for the abdomen. This aenima waits at the ceiling for any victim to walk under, and because of the lack of physical detachment between their torso and legs, they don't need to turn over to get the drop on their victims, allowing for perfect tracking of their prey. Once they caught their quarry, they cocoon the victim with a very tough silky secretion that quickly hardens and solidifies into thousands of interlocking crystals. Struggling against the walls of their coccoons, which the victims always do, will inevitably lead to microcuts and therefore crystal contamination, invariably resulting into a mutation.

The Mimic - Disguises themselves as large piles of treasure until a hapless adventurer approaches them. Once that happens, they quickly shift form into a familiar large and intimidating creature. While this creature could be anything, or could be a collective of smaller creatures, the dragon form is usually chosen due to them inheriting the ability to breath the much more unavoidable mutating crystals on their hapless victims.
