I held his cold shaking body against mine, burying him deep in the warmth of my fur and embrace. It was so strange feeling like I was helpless to do away with whatever was hurting my closes friend. It was something I couldn't kill, eviscerate, bleed to death, or crush, all I could do was hold him. His small fragile body shuddering with pain stricken sobs.
