31 day Pokeddex Challenge 2013 - Day 20 Kalos starter

Instead of choosing favourite starter out of them all, I wanted to celebrate the newest generation by drawing my favourite Kalos starter. When Nintendo revealed new starters, I wanted to choose Fennekin as my first starter. Others were not so appealing to me at that time. But when their next evolution stages got leaked, I fell in love with the water starter. Braixen on the other hand got me disappointed a little bit. Sure I was glad it didn’t turn into yet another fire/fighting type, but why bipedal? Why final stages of every fire starters have to be standing on two legs? (Typhlosion can sometimes be seen standing on four legs, but its mostly portrayed as bipedal.)

Greninja is awesome. Its design and animations in the game look great. But I’m not familiar with drawing frogs, so I decided to draw the first stage, a bit simpler design.
