Minidome:

Take a familiar creature, human or pet, barnyard animal or Australian evolutionary reject, whatever appeals to your inner mad scientist, and do some experimentation. Perhaps bend some limbs back, add some strange appendages. Maybe stitch or graft on some parts from something else, elongate some limbs. Perhaps you'd rather take away some familiar bits and pieces. No matter how you choose to go about it, make something that's definitely not from this world, but that looks like it maybe just left a few thousand years ago and recently returned.
Nightmare and horror isn't required here, if you want to make something cute and cuddly that's a-ok with me. Just make sure to keep it weird.
