I thought I’d have some fun and redraw my first original creation. Yes, this is the first initial design for Malco back in 2003. Before he became an adventurer, he was a small, energetic, goggle-wearing goofball with a love of flight. The stylistic influences in his design are pretty obvious.

His color was loosely based on Farfetch’d (the under-appreciated duck pokemon), his googles Daxter from Jak and Daxter, and everything is of course "HahahaHA-HA! Hahaha-HA-HA! Hahahahahahaha!"

As for his new name, that was in tribute of one of the main characters of my favorite movies at the time of his creation… Who Framed Roger Rabbit.

In a strange way, despite all of the comparisons I had gotten in the past, I almost regret abandoning this design. But who knows, maybe I’ll have something planned for little Eddy in the future.

After all, “Cartoon characters never die”.
