2 WEEKS! by Mazz

2 WEEKS!

Mazz

Look how big they're getting, it's impossible to hold wiggling babies in one hand now.
They're snapping at us and hissing. GOOD SIGN FOR BIRDS DESTINED FOR THE WILD!!!

So yea, the 3 kids are all 2 weeks old give or take 3 days since they all hatched in days of eachother. Their eyes are fully open, they've been outside with the foster mom owl but we got another winter storm that hit today so we brought them inside for the night.

Shitty picture because open eyes mean more chance for imprinting so we have to minimize as much contact as possible, I stuck the phone in the cage door and snapped a few shots before placing dinner down for them.

They can eat their mashed up rats on their own now and the largest is attempting to tear up his own mice.

Before asking me why I have baby owls read these links.

I AM A LICENSED BIRD OF PREY REHABBER WORKING FOR A LICENSED FACILITY, THESE ARE NOT PETS, DO NOT TRY TO CARE FOR THESE BIRDS ON YOUR OWN!
If you find a baby bird in need please contact a local rehab center in your area.
