Maggie Gold and Papa Bear (critique requested)

Max Mortimer

Here's another story about our lovable scoundrel Max. In this story, Max is fooling around with the daughter of a small town sheriff. One night, at their secret trysting place, Max finds Maggie murdered. Even though he isn't guilty, all fingers point to Max. Papa Bear says he will pay his respects to his daughter, but after she is buried, he's coming after Max. This experience is also the reason Max doesn't like bears.

Guitars, bass, drums vocals, mixing by Maxwell Mortimer 2014

Lyrics:

Maggie Gold was a lonely fur. She never lived till she met this cur.
She was the apple of her father's eye, who wore a golden star on his shoulder.
We used to run out through the woods, to the abandoned shack on Robber's Road.
She said meet me there on Harvest night, that's when I found her robbed of her life.

Papa Bear I didn't kill your daughter
I tried to save her why you calling me a liar?
But as they put her in the ground,
I got three days to get out of town

I better run.

Papa Bear tried not to cry. "I've lost the only thing in my life.
The only reason she came to harm, was cus she spent those nights in your wicked arms.
Every wolf wears a sheep's disguise. Your only family is you pack of lies.
I'm gonna pay my proper respects, then Ill had a noose around your mangy neck."

He didn't want a cure kissin' his daughter.
I didn't love her but i sure will miss her.
But as the put her in the ground,
I got three day to get out of town.

I better run.
