One of the things i have been trying to get done with commissions is translate the image I have in my head when Max transforms. Max's transformation to a beast is not fun. It's a painful experiance with anger.

I love werewolves movies and moster movies like this. I love the scene when the "curse" takes effect. I've always seen as Max's transformation like that. Not something cute of fun like in cartoons, but something violent and painful. That's basicly what I told Neo I wanted. Usually it doesn't translate very well and artists do their best, but the emotion never translates.

Neo did the first really amazing job translating that image / emotion. I really love how this came out. It took a while, but that's cause she said she had a a hard time getting the write look. I think the time was well spent and did an amazing job in the end. Thank you so much! :)
