Have a Cold - Color Practice (critique requested)

It ain't GREAT.

But it's alright. I understand well enough where light and shadow go (I think) but I was just tired by the time I got there and did it lazy. Next time I'll start with the shadows and work from there...

My color selection prowess is weak. I don't think it's quite 'murky' enough, but I'll figure that out eventually.

Decent use of three hours or somethin'!

Lovin' the shines, looking excellent here. I think what could use the most work is a much wider contrast -- darker darks, lighter lights (although the speckles work well for that side of the spectrum).
You could practice with random objects, cylinders, cubes, spheres, and how they look under different light sources. Then see how it applies to the living form next. You're definitely on the right track though, keep it up :D <3

Yeah, my color selection's poor. I need practice making light and shadow better... I understand placement, just not application. If that makes sense. Like I'm generally aware of what parts of an object are in shadow, but I'm not really good at making the shadow look nice. This was as much a foray into technique as anything--I've held off doing color so much because it's an enormous time sink that always seemed to destroy my wrist and knuckles. But I'll never get better if I don't try, so here we are...!

I like green. Just think I need to use different greens.
