Drawn for one of my classes - of the six heroes of my story, one is a little wolf cub thing part of a race called the Fawkes. I use them a lot in my story! This is a brief exploration of Andie and his expressions/body language.
Fawkes/Andie are my intellectual property, part of a larger project I hope to one day publish.~

Part of the assignment was doing the character's usual expressions, and since I didn't have a feel for Andie I drew a LOT until these chosen drawings fell into place. One of my strongest points is expression - for some reason I have a really good understanding of how emotions are expressed, and hopefully this will land me a job one day!
Emotion is one of the things that separates good art from great art. I really have come to enjoy visiting art museums to witness some of the works that have stuck through the ages.

The range of expressions here is awesome, especially the bottom right one. I always consider that a major sign of artistic talent, whether it be with stick figures or oil paintings.
