Anyone who knows me well enough knows that I am at constant odds with clinical depression. This is what happened when I thought to put a shape to that monster lurking in my head. Some days it's not so bad. It hides off in dark corners and doesn't bother me too much. I might not even notice it's there on good days. But on other days it walks up ever so softly and gently, placing its gnarled hands on my shoulders before sinking its claws into my flesh and soul.

It sucks.
