Salm later repaid the debt by pulling some strings when he became a General with the New Republic, giving Essada command of Grey Squadron, part of Salm's Y-Wing unit known as Aggressor Wing, Afyon is currently planning to court his second-in-command, Arani Olié, who has shown a romantic interest in him. Grey Squadron took a pounding along with the rest of Aggressor Wing at the Battle of Brentaal IV, but the two lovers have survived many close calls together.

Background: Tormox Doulten is the rear-gunner assigned to Afyon Essada's Y-Wing. When Grey 1 was shot down at the Battle of Brentaal IV, both Afyon and Tormox survived the crash and were rescued by Kapp Dendo's forces. The duo later recieved commendations along with the rest of the surviving squad members from Admiral Ackbar himself. Tormox continues to tinker with the turret systems on Grey Leader's replacement Y-Wing, making for a more deadly weapons system.

For a short time, she was part of Bravo Squadron, until the 501st came to Naboo hunting down surviving Jedi. Her grandfather was gunned down by stormtroopers as he tried to protect the current queen. Arani fled the planet soon after and threw her lot in with the Rebel Alliance as a Y-Wing pilot in Grey Squadron. She currently has a crush on the unit's leader, Afyon Essada.

Background: Born on Malastare, Rom had a somewhat privilaged life until he went to the Imperial Naval Academy to become a fighter pilot. He was trained by Baron Soontir Fel in the ways of the TIE Fighter and became a skilled marksman in battle. He was promoted to Squad Leader right out of the academy. But one day, he and his squadron were ordered to destroy a supposed rebel medical transport, later discovering that the transport they took out was actually a civilian medical shuttle. Rom defected to the Rebel Alliance after this discovery. Many in the Alliance dislike Worsh due to the civvie casualties he caused as an Imperial, but Afyon Essada overlooked these facts and assigned him in Grey Squadron. Rom Worsh now serves as the pilot of Grey 3.

During her downtime, Lind can be found listening to or playing music, or painting, as she is gifted in most forms of the arts. She keeps to herself for the most part, as she is a lesbian, but she is always on the lookout for a lifepartner. Her piloting skills are second-to-none even in the outdated Y-Wing.
