Listen, I can understand a lot of weird shit. I understand pansexuality. I understand nonbinary genders. Agender- fine. Bigender- okay. Genderfluid- makes sense to me. Hell, I can even get demigirl and demiboy.

But for the love of me, I just don't get demisexuality no matter how many times I try to educate myself about it (which is a lot of times). Demisexuality, for those of you who don't know, is "a sexual orientation in which someone feels sexual attraction only to people with whom they have an emotional bond".

Now normally, a sexuality tells which gender(s) someone is attracted to. That is my biggest problem with demisexuality. It doesn't really tell me what gender(s) is supposed to be attracted to. Is it the same gender? The opposite gender? Two or more genders? What is it?

Plus, forming an emotional bond is pretty normal development to a couple.

Usually Demisexual people say DemiPansexual (like they're Demisexual and Pansexual) or DemiBisexual. Demisexual means someone is only attracted to people they have a previous emotional bond with. That's why it's often paired with other sexualities that mean the gender their attracted to.
