Summer, early afternoon. Home from college and nursing a hangover, I headed to my usual coffee shop for some relief.
Grabbing my drink and walking over to add cream and sugar, I found the counter already occupied by a muscular clouded leopard. This guy was impressive, his back was nearly as wide as the counter itself... although the same couldn't necessarily be said about his stature. Wide, thick lats stretched his tank top, subtly flexing and bulging as he stirred his drink. As he finished and turned around, I caught a glimpse of his face.
And my jaw dropped.
"B- Benji?!?"
"Oh, hey Ethan," he said, looking up with a warm smile.
Benji and I had graduated from high school together, three years ago. Back then, he was the smallest guy in our class. He weighed maybe 100 pounds soaking wet... I even remember him struggling to bench press an unloaded bar in gym class. I think you can see why I was surprised to find the same cat standing in front of me, now absolutely stacked with muscle.
"You- You're huge!" I stammered.
The leopard blushed, looking down at his feet as he smiled coyly. "Thanks. I guess I, uh, hit the gym a little bit since graduation." Chuckling, he flexed both of his arms, his round biceps effortlessly rising and bulging, stretching his spotted fur. His wide lats grew upward and outward to meet his underarms, stretching his already tightly-fitting tank top. Cream-colored pecs grew from his chest, so thick they nearly grazed the underside of his chin.
My jaw was still wide open, taken aback by my classmate's new body. His formerly toothpick-sized arms were now packed with muscle, twice... nearly three times the size of my own. Without thinking, I extended a paw to feel one.
I couldn't even get my hand around it. Grinning, he flexed it harder, the warm, granite-like muscle spreading my fingers apart as it bulged, a thick vein springing up beneath my fingertips.
"Er, sorry," I said, blushing and pulling my hand away. "Probably should have asked first, but... you're just... damn." I was completely enthralled by his new size, I still couldn't believe he was the same skinny kid I had graduated with three years prior.
The leopard looked up and grinned. "No worries, I get that reaction a lot..."
