Her character Sutra is in a Cenote, or Sacred Pool. For Mayan people those places were Gates between Underworld and Earth; and if somebody enters there eventually will meet the gods. Everything like people, tributes, sacrifices, etc.
The woman is IxChel “the white,” is the Goddess of the moon, healing, childbirth, love and Queen of the Mayan gods, and also wife of the powerful God Itzamna. Sometimes a rabbit was near her.
A kind Goddess who protects pregnant women; the snake on her forehead is a symbol of medicine. Ix in Mayan means the feminine, whether Lady, goddess, or woman. Ix is also meant to convey something high, important, or honoured. Chel means rainbow, or translucent light.
On the Mayan culture the butterflies are warriors spirits reincarnated.
