Final for a class. The focus was to be on the costume of a culture, so I made up a culture. When the project started, I tossed a bunch of words and animals into a hat and I drew out:

Haida + Inca + Dinosaurs

and so my project went off of this.
Throughought working on this I made up a pantheon of gods for my made-up people, one of which includes the Baryonyx diety Kaitipo. He is the chief diety and rules over Gathering and Fish. He's based off of the gods Apo of the Mountains from the Inca pantheon and Kaiti, the bear god from Haida myths. These are a few Kaitipo high priests preforming rites on the skull of a deceased baryonyx.

Final was inked in two parts, scanned and colored. :>

I've done loads of fun researched on both the cultural visual styles/regalia that I'm borrowing from and in the end made up my own. They don't have a regional name yet, but they live near a stepped coast in mostly boreal forest, kind of what the northern rockies look like. It's inhabitated mainly by smaller dinosaurs, and they have domesticated macrauchenia (a sort of prehistoric thing) as a resource for fur/hair since Inca is highly textile dependent. They have coastal pterodae as well that are fishing types. Baryonyx is the biggest dinosaur in their area but are few in numbers due to its size making navigating heavy forest difficult.

I also enhanced the dinosaurs that inhabit my little world too, for example the baryonx are covered in protofeathers, Macrau's have thicker fur like an alpacha, etc. I was really focused on what resourced would be available for clothing and how it would be used. I could get more into it but I won't! I will share the other gods of the pantheon though:

There is Intiko, an enormous macrauchenia that has a plume of headfeathers. It rules over the Sun and is the shepherd to the afterlife. Based off of the Inca sun god Intikon.

And the third main diety is Paraicho, a Dimorphodon whose myth says she was once human. She is the ruler of water and sister to the moon. She is based off of the story of the Raven from Haida myth and Coche from Inca pantheon.
