Here we have Johanna Veracruz Catarina Mariquita Tula, but Pretz knows her as mom. A very strong woman who ruled along side her husband. She is also one of Mari Posa's oldest friends. ( Mari Posa is older as they first met when Johanna was a child. ) While she was loved by her people, she grew up on the run and did many things she was not happy with to survive. And while she is very gentle and calm at first glace, Johanna has a very short fuse and and even shorter temper. So afraid that her own daughter would be following this path she became very strict with her. While she really didn't have any real problems with her tomboy of a daughter acting out, she felt that turning her away from such a path would do her better in the long run. Instead in lead to many fights and disagreements between the two. ( the last won, sadly, never being set right as she died ) Like her daughter, Johanna had the elemental power of ice but on a level Pretz has tried very hard to duplicate but has been unable to come even close. ( Johanna could make constructs out of ice and animate them by melting and refreezing them. At last count she would make over 500 hundred different constructs and make them move differently from each other ) Strangely enough. it's been noted that Miranda looks more like Johanna than Pretz does.
